I managed to save quite quickly for my beautiful maxi dress, and true to my word I haven't worn it yet, it's safely tucked away in a pile of beautiful summery clothes for my holiday.

But I really need to reign in on my internet shopping, I'm now saving my spare cash for this beauty:

I love jumpsuits, they're really comfy and great for keeping cool and keeping covered, and this is one leopard print (!!) and only £30, so I probably won't be saving for long!

It'll be great on a day when it's really sunny and I don't want to get burnt, or if my legs have gotten a little stubbly, or if it's windy and I don't want to risk having my skirt fly up! See, so many reasons to own one!

Battery Trouble

2011-06-06 10:21 pm

My camera is a pain the backside. Because it does not have rechargeable batteries it means it runs out of battery very quick and I end up getting through loads of batteries.

Most of the time when it runs out, it is in the middle of a big group shot where everyone is posing and then it just dies.
My one piece of advice for anyone buying a new digital camera is to make sure it has rechargeable batteries and if so pay a little more for it. As at the end of the day you will probably end up spending more on normal batteries!

Money or Love? Should I be looking to date somebody rich?

2011-06-01 12:24 pm

I've often wondered what it would be like to date someone absolutely loaded. I picture myself being jetted around the world business class going to exotic places and wearing designer clothes with my handsome, funny husband by my side. But it's a fantasy right? I can't realistically have all that stuff can I? Wanting to date somebody rich is just another way of wishing I was rich myself, isn't it? Just because someone has money doesn’t mean they'd be willing to spend it all on me, and I can't imagine myself having anything in common with a banker or a high flying lawyer. I tend to go for scruffy, guitar playing types, who are more likely to be on my wave length but usually even more broke than I am. If I thought I could find a sensitive vegetarian in a Rowan Dartington building, you'd probably find me camping outside waiting for the rich man of my dreams to come sweep me off my feet.

I think realistically a similar sense of humour and similar ethics are much more important to me than money. I couldn’t go out with someone rich if they ate nothing but steak and thought highly of Thatcher. I'd rather be poor and listen to grunge and drink cider in the park with a good looking borderline hobo. It would be nice to have money, but I'd rather be with someone I enjoy hanging out with.

Roll on Pay Day!

This month I am saving for a brand new maxi dress! I know it sounds mad and why can’t I just buy it now – but I am saving for a holiday in the summer and I like something to work towards!

It is this one:

It costs £60 and once I have it I will putting away for my holiday so it keeps it nice.

What is great about it is it not only is a maxi dress which is really in fashion at the moment, but also the colours are bold which is also one of the summer trends.

I am hopefully off to Ibiza in the summer so I am hoping no one else will be in this dress and I am looking forward to partying on the beach with cocktails in it!

I KNOW!

So yeah, apparently, when you pay out a great big shed load of money on a Managed Hosting Providers, you don’t always get a maintenance team as such to help run the system. You just get the lease on the server for a short period of time. A temporary period of time. You’re basically paying for the company of a large hunk of metal and ciruit boards that won’t even make you a cup of tea when you visit it. What if there is a problem with it you say? Some kind of epic mistake and you need to call in the troops? Well that’s what you might as well do, call in the troops because there won’t be anyone directly on the other end that can help you battle through.
If I knew this was the case I would have just bought the server out in the first place. In it’s current state you see it, is off zero use to me. How can you possible have a server with no maintenance team. What is it supposed to be? Skynet?
